APEC Electronic Trade and Supply Chain Management Training held successfully in Hongkong

November 9 to 10, 2010, the APEC (Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation) Electronic Trade and Supply Chain Management Training (the third phase: supply chain management) sponsored by APEC and co-hosted by APEC-ECBA and CIECC was held in Hongkong.

From November 9 to 10, 2010, the APEC (Asian Pacific Economic Cooperation) Electronic Trade and Supply Chain Management Training (the third phase: supply chain management) sponsored by APEC and co-hosted by APEC-ECBA (E-commerce Business Alliance) and CIECC (China International Electronic Commerce Center) was held in Hongkong.

The experts of Industry Canada, Beijing Technology and Business University, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, Japan's Nomura Research Institute, Li & Fung Limited in China and Tradelink Electronic Commerce Limited were invited to deliver lectures for the training. Over 40 people including

the governmental officials, business representatives and experts and scholars from the economies of Chile and Peru, Vietnam, Babia New Guinea, Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, Philippines, China and

Hong Kong attended the training.

 “APEC Electronic Trade and Supply Chain Management Training” is the project approved by APEC Ministerial Meeting. In the past four years, APEC-ECBA cooperated closely with each economy’s government and enterprises, and has held numbers of trainings successfully respectively with the themes of electronic trade and financial supply chain, and the training in Hongkong also gained the vigorous supports and active participation of the government of each economy. The participants spoke highly about the training and affirmed the organization of the meeting. They have also expressed the hope that the alliance continue to hold this kind of training course to better promote the development of cross-border trade in APEC region.

 

Mr Zhang Nianlu, Secretary-general of APEC-ECBA was present at the meeting and delivered a speech, and Mr Liu Junsheng, Chairman of APEC-ECBA awarded the certificates for the trainees at the closing ceremony.
